The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is the first comprehensive, international spirits judging ever held in the United States on an annual basis. Originally founded in 2000 by Anthony Dias Blue and Carol Seibert, this prestigious event focuses on blind taste tests and awards are presented on taste alone.
In 2007, the competition was held on March 17th and 187th at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in San Francisco.
Pernod Ricard is one of the Museum’s long time sponsors, and they proudly came away from this competition with a total of 34 medals. 13 of which were Double Gold and Gold. You can find additional details about these in Pernod’s press release on their site.
